I
appreciate the opportunity to participate in the 2004
Youth Tour to Washington D.C. It was an awesome
experience that I will never forget. I enjoyed
seeing all the sights of our nation's capitol and
meeting one of the Senators. I met a lot of
other students and made some great friends that I am
still keeping in touch with. Thank you so much
for providing such a great program for the students.
Thanks,

The
Washington D.C. youth tour trip through REC was
outstanding. There were 42 different states and
over 1,000 students, all juniors in senior high
school. The bus trip down was great also even
though the kids were from the same state, which you
would be with all week. The night we arrived we
had orientation with all the Pennsylvania students at
which they gave each of us 20 Pennsylvania pins.
These pins were to help us meet other people
(icebreaker), from different states, which had pins of
their state also. The way this trip started out
I knew it was going to be great. The fun
continued the second day as all 1,200 students met for
youth day in the hotel. Mt. Vernon was great
also which was visited after youth day. The
second night we were on a boat cruise, which was a lot
of fun. The rest of the week consisted of
touring different monuments, visiting Arlington
Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and visiting
some of the museums, and we even got to be on the
steps of the White House. On this trip you also
got to learn more about your nations history which was
pretty cool. I could go on and on explaining
what we did and how much fun this experience
was. If any going to be juniors read this, I
encourage you to sign up for this trip and pray that
you get picked to go, because it truly is as great as
what I have said. Thank You very much REC and
the people that make this possible.
